The Cornish Chough Collection.
The Cornish Chough is an iconic bird in Cornwall and is found proudly perched on the top of the coat of arms of the Duchy. The Cornish for the Chough is Palores, meaning Digger, probably because of its habit of digging in loose soil for invertebrates. Legend has it that the soul of King Arthur departed this world in the form of a Chough, its red feet and bill signifying Arthurs violent and bloody end, for this reason it is considered unlucky to kill a Chough.
