All My Ceramics Are
Inspired by Cornwall
Down a leafy lane on the edge of the beautiful, historic town of Marazion, you'll find me creating my unique pottery in what used to be a farm building.
I design, make and decorate each piece, taking my inspiration from long walks with my husband John and our dog along the coast path overlooking St Michael's Mount and Mount's Bay.
What came first the Agapanthus or the Swallow? In this case it was the Swallow, both are, to me the very essence of summer so it seemed natural than to put them together. It is my favourite design to paint, each piece is truly unique.
Recent Designs
The Seagulls design came into being through a customer commission, a young Dutch couple who wanted gifts to take home that were made in Marazion, but represented the coast in general. As they both love seagulls, the design was created.
Thank you for visiting.
“As a maker/designer I am very aware of how lucky I am to not only live in beautiful Cornwall, but to be able to take my inspiration from my surroundings is a privilege I appreciate everyday.” – Penn Boylan
