Seagulls are the Marmite of the bird world, but love them or hate them there’s no getting away from the fact that they are very intelligent birds. Seagulls symbolise freedom and independence and also adventure and inconstancy. Beware though, in Cornwall they are best known for being skilled, acrobatic food thieves.
